Bringing Miss Brill Out of the Box
Identities are not only shaped by the world, they inspire the way in which that world is seen. Painted with the language of surreal imagery and metaphor by short story author Katherine Mansfield, “Miss Brill” explores a figurative world that is becoming furtively colder- one that pushes some souls into isolation while exploiting others, all for the purposes of the show.
